The Maratona d'Europa was a road running event held annually between 2000 and 2014 in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region on the north-eastern edge of Italy.

The 42.2km marathon was a point-to-point race along the Gulf of Trieste, starting in the small town of Gradisca d'Isonzo and finishing in the city of Trieste.

Participants in the 21.1km half marathon joined the marathon field at Duino.

A hugely popular 7km fun run and walk (‘Bavisela Family’) was also held at the same time, starting at the castle of Miramare and ending, like the half and the full marathon, on Piazza dell'Unità d'Italia, Trieste's main square.

In 2015, the event was replaced by the Green Europe Marathon.
