"Troika Run" 2013

The Tek trojk in Ljubljana is Slovenia's second-biggest running event. Over 5500 runners took part in the event last year.

Two race distances are on offer: 12.5km and 29km. Children run 3km.

Participants must form a team of three runners (male, female, or mixed). It is not possible to run as an individual without a team. All three team members must run the full distance, and all three must cross the finish line together!

The start and finish are on the beautiful Kongresni trg ("Congress Square") in the city centre. Both routes are single loops through the eastern part of Ljubljana and across the densely-wooded Golovec hill. Parts of the course are on dirt roads and trails.

The Tek trojk forms part of the annual celebrations that commemorate the liberation of Ljubljana at the end of World War Two. There are no entry fees!
