9th Ormož Half Marathon 2010

This relatively small event in eastern Slovenia includes a half marathon and a 10k race, held on an undulating out-and-back course.

The start and the finish are on the athletics track in Ormož, a small town located on a terrace above the River Drava, right on the border with Croatia.

Ormož is on the southern edge of the picturesque Ormož hills, where exquisite white wines have been produced for centuries.

The race travels northwards but not through the vineyards. The route runs along the road in the valley of the brook Lešnica.

In 2009, the half marathon winners were Igor Šalamun (1:16:32) and Daneja Grandovec (1:29:06).
