LCC Polar Bear Run, 3rd race

This is a traditional and very popular winter series of three races in the Vienna Prater park.

The course is completely flat, very fast and AIMS certified. 7km runners come home after one lap, half marathoners run three laps with an additional 97.5meters in the final lap.

It was in the third race of the series in 2008 that Susanne Pumper from Austria and Helena Javornik from Slovenia, both running for the organizing club LCC Wien, were tested positive for the performance-enhancing drug EPO.
