The Berglauf Tarvisio - Monte Lussari is a mountain running race (Italian: gara corsa in montagna) held in Tarvisio, a ski resort located in the Julian Alps in the north-eastern corner of Italy, near the borders with Austria and Slovenia.
Starting on Piazza Unità, Tarvisio's main square, the route is very challenging: 11km long with 1,200 metres of ascent.
The race is run mainly on gravel roads and ski slopes, finishing at 1,770 metres above sea level on Monte Santo di Lussari which is home to a pilgrimage church and to the upper cable car station of the Tarvisio ski area.
