Żywiec (Poland), Sunday 2 April 2017
The Półmaraton dookoła Jeziora Żywieckiego ("Half Marathon around Lake Żywiec") takes runners around the Jezioro Żywieckie, an 8km-long reservoir in the Beskid Mountains in southern Poland.
Last year, more than 2,200 runners from twelve countries completed the very undulating and challenging but also very scenic single-loop course.
The race begins and ends on the main square of Żywiec, an old beer-brewing town of about 32,000 residents, situated on the southern tip of the lake.
The time limit to finish the race is three hours.
This short and well-made video gives a fine impression of the event.
