The Hallstättersee Rundlauf is a half marathon race around the Hallstätter See, a 5.9km-long lake in the Salzkammergut area in Austria.

Last year, more than 600 runners completed the undulating route around the lake, which is hemmed in by steep mountains on three sides.

The race is run on asphalt roads (ca. 13km) and gravel paths (ca. 8km).

Starting in the village of Lahn on the western shore, participants run in an anticlockwise direction to the finish line on the main square of the old salt-producing village of Hallstatt (pictured), situated approximately 1km to the north of Lahn.
