The KVOK (Kolín—Velký Osek—Kolín) half marathon features a flat out-and-back course that begins and ends in Kolín, a town of about 30,000 people, situated on the River Elbe in the Czech Republic, approximately 60km east of Prague.

Starting on the athletics track, which is a 15-minute walk from Kolín's beautiful main square, the route runs along the river and then northwards — mostly on cycleways — through agricultural areas to the turning point in the village of Velký Osek.

Along the route, you can expect some fine support by friendly helpers at the aid stations and by the locals in the villages.

This year, the KVOK half marathon incorporates the Czech barefoot running championships.
