The Marcia dei Magi (‘March of the Wise Men’) is held every year on Epiphany, a Christian feast day that is celebrated in many countries on January 6.

Participants run (or walk) either 8km or 15km on mixed terrain around the village of Campolonghetto which sits on the Bassa Friulana Plain in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region in the north-east of Italy.

Both routes are flat loops, mostly through farmland and small villages.

The Marcia dei Magi is a ‘manifestazione non competitiva’, a non-competitive event. Finishing times are not recorded. Prizes are awarded to the largest groups.
