Held in the hills between Slovenia's capital Ljubljana and the Julian Alps, this small gorski tek (mountain race) features a relatively short and easy uphill course — 7km long, with about 450m of elevation gain from start to finish.

The start is in the hamlet of Nemilje, situated about 13km west of the town of Kranj.

The first 4km or so are run on gravel roads, the next 2.5km on asphalt roads, and the last bit is on trails.

The finish line is at the church of Sveti Mohor (pictured above), which stands at an elevation of 952m on top of a hill. Lovely views open up as you approach the finish!

Last year, the fastest runners were Uroš Bertoncelj (31:17) and Tamara Zorč (39:26).
