The Cjaminade di Sante Lussie is a wonderful non-competitive event for runners and hikers, held every year in December in the Friuli area in the north-east of Italy.

Participants can choose to run (or walk) either 7km, 14km, or 21km around the town of Gemona del Friuli which sits at the foot of the Julian Alps, approximately 25km north of the city of Udine.

All routes are highly scenic but also very challenging as they take the participants on roads and trails up and down the alpine foothills.

Entries on the day are € 2.50. Participants can start at any time between 9am and 10am, and they can still decide on the course which route they want to take.
