Hungary's largest half marathon takes place four weeks before the Budapest Marathon.

In 2010, a crowd of more than 5500 runners finished the very attractive and traffic-free course. The fastest finishers were Hungarian top runners László Tóth (1:04:13) and Krisztina Papp (1:13:13).

The start and finish are in the large City Park (Városliget), close to the splendid Széchenyi Baths.

Participants run along Budapest's longest and grandest avenue (Andrássy út), and then along both banks of the River Danube, passing many landmarks en route.

Apart from a couple of bridges the route is flat and fast.
