Start is in Innichen (San Candido) in South Tyrol.

This fast cross-border race from Italy to Austria incorporates a half marathon and a 12.1k race.

The start is at an elevation of 1172 metres in Innichen (Italian: San Candido), a popular holiday destination in the largely German-speaking alpine province of South Tyrol, very close to the breathtaking Sexten Dolomites.

The race follows the cycle path along the River Drava in the green Hochpuster Valley.

The course is mildly undulating and overall downhill with an elevation loss of about 100 metres.

Participants in the 12.1k race run directly to the finishing line in Sillian in East Tyrol, Austria. Half marathon runners carry on along the cycle path to turn around in the village of Tassenbach, from where they run back Sillian.

In 2009, the half marathon winners were Markus Hohenwarter (1:06:11) and Roswitha Moser (1:32:24). Gianmarco Pitteri (40:42) and Theresa Moser (48:18) celebrated victory in the 12k race.
