This New Year's Eve Run is staged in the village of Sankt Stefan ob Stainz, located amid the rolling hills of the Schilcher wine-growing region in southern Austria, 25 kilometres from Graz.
Entrants choose between the Hauptlauf (8.1km; 6 laps) and the Hobbylauf (4.05km; 3 laps). Each lap is 1.35 kilometres long. The route is mildly undulating and closed to traffic.
