Jaska Half Marathon 2009
Every year, tens of thousands of tourists pass this area on their way to the Croatian coast without taking any notice of its beauty.
The Jaska Half Marathon is held in the small lovely wine-growing region at the foot of the densely wooded hills of Samoborsko gorje. From the main square in Jastrebarsko, a small town 40km south-west of Zagreb, you will run on quiet country lanes up and down the hills. The first half of the course is mainly up, the second down, but you should expect some short steep climbs in between. Your efforts will be well rewarded with lunch and a prize raffle after the race.
Last year, Ida Šurbek from Slovenia (1:24:21) and Dinjar Dražen from Croatia (1:14:59) came home first.
