Fužine Three Lakes Half Marathon

Fužine is a small town at the Bajer Reservoir in the densely forested mountains of Gorski Kotar, just 35km from the coastal city of Rijeka. Located at 730m above sea level it's a popular destination for Croats but not many foreign tourists make it to this thinly populated area.

The half marathon is a small but nice event. You will run along the three lakes Bajer, Lepenica and Potkoš to the Marian Shrine of Our Lady of the Snow on the plateau of Ličko polje before returning back to Fužine.

The winners in 2008 were Đuro Kodžo from Bosnia and Herzegovina (1:10:22) and Ida Šurbek from Slovenia (1:23:24).
