26th Tata Minimarathon
The charming small town of Tata, 70km west of Hungary's capital Budapest, is home to a popular summer afternoon running event.
The race follows a very nice 14km route through the Baroque old town, past the 14th century lakeside castle, along the promenade of the Öreg-tó (Old Lake) and through the Angol Park (English Park) to the Cseke-tó (Small Lake).
Last year, 740 runners crossed the finish line. The winners were Tamás Bogos (44:32) and world class athlete Anikó Kálovics (48:05).
