The Bratislava Marathon is Slovakia's largest running event. Held annually over two days in spring, it attracts more than 10,000 participants of all ages.

The shorter races take place on Saturday ...

  • 5m for toddlers
  • 300m/600m/800m for children
  • 4.2km run and walk
  • 10km

... and the longer races on Sunday:

  • 21.1km half marathon
  • 42.2km marathon
  • 42.2km marathon relay

All races begin and end at the Eurovea centre, a business and retail complex situated on the left bank of the Danube, approximately one and a half kilometres east of Bratislava's Old Town.

Participants in the 42.2km marathon run two laps of the half marathon course, a mainly-flat and AIMS-certified loop through four boroughs on both sides of the Danube: Staré Mesto, Nové Mesto, Ružinov and Petržalka.
