This Night Run is held each summer in the old spa town of Piešťany which is situated on the Váh river in the western part of Slovakia, approximately 85 kilometres from the capital Bratislava.
Two race distances are available: 5km (one lap) and 10km (two laps).
The course is a very flat loop that begins and ends on Námestie slobody (Freedom Square), Piešťany's main square.
The route takes the runners through the town centre, through the Mestský park (Town Park) with its many beautiful trees, and through residential areas.
It is recommended to use a čelovka (headlamp) during the race.
