The Garda Trentino Half Marathon is a running event held annually in November in the Province of Trentino in northern Italy.
The half marathon begins and ends in the town of Riva del Garda (pictured) which sits at the north-western tip of Lago di Garda, Italy's largest lake.
The route is a gently-undulating loop course. At first, participants run eastwards to the campsites of Linfano and then northwards through a fertile valley to the town of Arco. From there, the route takes the runners along the Sarca river back to Lake Garda. The last two kilometres are run along the northern shore of the lake.
In addition, the event offers a 10k race (start and finish in Riva del Garda), a 4k RUN4FUN (non-competitive point-to-point run and walk from Torbole along the lakeshore to Riva del Garda) and kids races (400m-800m-1.2km) which take place on Saturday afternoon in Arco.
