The Marcia del Mare is a non-competitive running and walking event.
It takes place annually in the spring in the beach resort of Lignano Sabbiadoro in the Gulf of Venice in the north-eastern part of Italy.
Three flat routes are on offer, approximately 4km, 13km and 21km long.
Participants run or walk on mixed terrain (beach, asphalt, trails, ...) through the resort, through pine forests, along the estuary of the Tagliamento river and along the shore of the Adriatic Sea.
The start and the finish are on Piazza Marcello d'Olivo in the Lignano Pineta area.
Usually, the marcia attracts well over 1,000 participants.
As far as we know, the event was last held on 22 April 2018.
