With well over 10,000 participants, the Vivicittá Félmaraton (Vivicitta Spring Half Marathon) in Budapest is one of the biggest running events in Hungary.
The 7k run and a number of shorter races for fun runners, families and walkers are held on Saturday.
The 10k race and the half marathon take place on Sunday.
The half marathon is open to individuals and to relay teams of two or three runners.
Starting and ending on Margit-sziget (Margaret Island), an island in the River Danube, the route runs along both banks of the Danube through the city centre, passing many of Budapest's best-known sights. The course is mainly flat and fast.
