Sunday 5 April 2020 - Cancelled due to coronavirus outbreak!
The Vivicittá Félmaraton (Vivicitta Spring Half Marathon) is held annually on a Sunday in April in Budapest, capital city of Hungary.
The start/finish area is usually either on Margit-sziget (Margaret Island), an island in the River Danube, or on Ötvenhatosok tere (56-osok tere), a square on the edge of the Városliget (City Park).
Wherever the venue is, the route takes the runners through the city centre and along the Danube, passing many of Budapest's best-known sights. The course is mainly flat and fast.
The race is open to individuals and to relay teams of two or three runners.
In addition to the half marathon, the event features a 10k race (also on Sunday) and a number of shorter races (on Saturday).
The Vivicitta in Budapest is one of Hungary's biggest running events. According to the race organizers, it attracts more than 30,000 participants.
