Held on a 7-kilometre loop course, the Pápa Félmaraton in Hungary offers the following race options:
- 7km Minimaraton
- 14km Dupla-minimaraton
- 21km Félmaraton (half marathon)
- 21km Félmaraton váltó (half marathon relay)
The start and the finish line are at the Nagytemplom (Great Church; pictured above) on Fő tér (Main Square) in Pápa, an old town of about 30,000 inhabitants, located in the western part of Hungary, approximately 160 kilometres from Budapest and Vienna.
Participants run through the Baroque town centre, then a bit downhill, through the leafy Várkert (Castle Garden), ...
... around the Várkertfürdő thermal baths, through a residential area, along the 2-kilometre-long Gróf út ...
... and up again to the Old Town, passing the 18th-century Esterházy-kastély (Esterházy Mansion):
