The Volkslauf Bad Segeberg is a multi-terrain running event held yearly in Bad Segeberg, a town of about 18,000 people, located in Schleswig-Holstein in the far north of Germany.

The event offers four races for runners of all ages ...

  • 750m (children 9 years and under)
  • 1.8km (children 10-13 years old)
  • 3km
  • 8.5km

... and two for walkers and nordic walkers ...

  • 3km
  • 8.5km

Starting and ending in the town centre, the 8.5km race is an undulating loop on roads and trails around the Großer Segeberger See (pictured).

The route passes the Kalkberg, a 91m-high rock which provides the backdrop for the annual Karl May Festival.
