... began and ended at the RupertusTherme spa in the town of Bad Reichenhall which is located near the Germany-Austria border, just about ten miles from the city centre of Salzburg.
The half marathon route followed a scenic multi-terrain course along the Saalach river (pictured). The difference between the lowest and the highest point on the course was 57 metres. From start to finish, the route featured more than 120 metres of ascent.
In 2022, the RupertusThermen-Lauf will be replaced by a new event, the Alpenstadt City & Trailrun.
