The Dresdner Nachtlauf (Dresden Night Run) is held annually on a Friday night in August in Dresden, capital of the state of Sachsen (Saxony) in Germany.

The event traditionally takes place on the first day of the Dresdner Stadtfest, a three-day street festival that draws an estimated half a million visitors every year.

Starting and finishing in the city centre, the 13.5km race takes the runners along both banks of the Elbe river, mainly on cycleways.

The 5km race is a point-to-point run which starts at the 8.8km mark of the 13.8km race.
