The rbb-Lauf Potsdamer Drittelmarathon is a running event held annually in April in the city of Potsdam, capital of the state of Brandenburg which surrounds Germany's capital Berlin.

Named after the sponsoring public broadcaster rbb (Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg), the event attracts a crowd of more than 2,000 participants.

The route is 14.065 kilometres long (a third of the full marathon distance).

The start and the finish are at the Glienicker Brücke (Glienicke Bridge, pictured above) which has come to fame as the ‘Bridge of Spies’ where the United States and the Soviet Union exchanged prisoners during the Cold War.

Potsdam is a lively and very green city that is surrounded by vast lakes. Formerly the residence of the Prussian kings and the German emperors, Potsdam is home to a large number of outstanding sights, first of all the parks and palaces of Sanssouci.

Since 2022, the event also offers a 10k race.
