Held in the capital of the state of Sachsen (Saxony) in the eastern part of Germany, RUN Dresden (previously known as Stadtlauf Dresden) offers a 5k, a 10k and two kids' races.
All races start and finish at the Kulturpalast in the city centre.
The route runs through the historic core and along both banks of the Elbe river, passing many of Dresden's most magnificent buildings.
Instead of a bib, all participants get a T-shirt which they must wear during the race.
