The Alsterlauf is a 10k race around the Außenalster lake in Hamburg, Germany.

It's a prestigious and popular road running event with more than 3,000 finishers every year.

Starting and finishing on Mönckebergstraße, one of the busiest shopping streets in the city, the route is a scenic and mainly-flat loop around the Außenalster which is surrounded by some of Hamburg's most exclusive quarters.

The course has been accurately measured and certified. During the race, it is closed to all traffic.
