... begin and end at the fishing port of Skagen, a small town of about 8,000 people that attracts approximately two million visitors every year.
The marathon is two laps of a gently-undulating route which takes the runners on a mix of surfaces (asphalt, gravel, trails) through the town and through the breathtakingly-beautiful dunes and moorland surrounding Skagen.
