The Skagen Marathon is a multi-terrain running event held yearly since 2010 at the northern tip of Denmark.

All races ...

  • 5km
  • 10km
  • 21.1km half marathon
  • 21.1km Walk & Talk
  • 30km Trail
  • 42.2km marathon

... begin and end at the fishing port of Skagen, a small town of about 8,000 people that attracts approximately two million visitors every year.

The marathon is two laps of a gently-undulating route which takes the runners on a mix of surfaces (asphalt, gravel, trails) through the town and through the breathtakingly-beautiful dunes and moorland surrounding Skagen.

In 2023, around 3,000 runners took part in the event.
