The Benešovský maratón a půlmaratón Pojizeřím is an annual road running event in the Czech Republic.

It takes place in the Geopark Český ráj (Bohemian Paradise Geopark), a 760km2 area of outstanding geological value and natural beauty, listed as a UNESCO Global Geopark.

All three races (10k, half marathon, marathon) are run out and back along the Jizera river, starting and finishing in the village of Benešov u Semil which is situated approximately 40 kilometres from the city of Liberec and 110 kilometres from Prague.

Participants in the full marathon run two laps of the half marathon course.

The route follows the 292 country road which is not closed to traffic during the event.

The course is very scenic and relatively flat with about 100 metres of ascent over the 42.2 kilometres. It has been accurately measured by an IAAF/AIMS course measurer.

Update 2024:

Due to roadworks on the marathon course, the full marathon will not be held in 2024.

There will be two races: 10k (one lap) and half marathon (two laps).
