The Zlatý podzim ("Golden Autumn") is a 10k road race in the Moravian-Silesian Region in the eastern part of the Czech Republic.

It's a long-standing but relatively small running event with approximately 100 finishers, held in a fascinating area with a long industrial heritage.

Starting in the town of Vratimov, which is just outside the city limits of Ostrava, the route is an undulating loop through residential and rural areas.

It also offers fine views of the gigantic Nová huť steelworks (pictured below).

The course is not closed to traffic during the race.
