The Plava Laguna Half Marathon takes place yearly over a weekend in March in the vast tourist settlements that stretch to the south of the old town of Poreč, one of the most popular holiday destinations in Croatia, located on the west coast of Istria (Croatian: Istra), a peninsula in the northern Adriatic.
It's a running event for all ages offering children's races, a 4k family run, a 10k race and a half marathon.
All races are out-and-back races that begin and end at the Hotel Parentium Plava Laguna in the Zelena Resort which is approximately five kilometres south of the historic centre of Poreč.
The 10k and the half marathon take the runners along the coast between the Zelena Resort and Poreč. The 10k is one lap and the half marathon is two laps.
