The Plava Laguna Half Marathon takes place yearly over a weekend in March in the vast tourist settlements that stretch to the south of the old town of Poreč, one of the most popular holiday destinations in Croatia, located on the west coast of Istria (Croatian: Istra), a peninsula in the northern Adriatic.

It's a running event for the whole family as it offers a 3.5k run (on Saturday morning), children's races (on Saturday afternoon) as well as a 10k race and a half marathon (on Sunday morning).

All races begin and end in the Zelena Laguna Resort ('Green Lagoon Resort') which is approximately five kilometres south of the historic centre of Poreč.

The 3.5k route takes the runners around the Camping Bijela Uvala ('White Bay Camping').

The 10k and the half marathon are out-and-back races along the coast.
