This Halbmarathon (half marathon) is held in the city centre of Graz, Austria's second city with a population of around 300,000 residents.

Participants in the 21.1km race run two laps of a flat course that begins and ends on Karmeliterplatz in the northern part of the Old Town.

The route takes the runners through the Stadtpark and through the Geidorf district which is home to the Universität Graz, the second-oldest university in the country.
