This Stadtlauf (Town Run) takes place in the small town of Frohnleiten which sits in the narrow Mur Valley in the Steiermark (Styria) province in Austria, approximately 30 kilometres north of the city of Graz.
Seven race distances are available:
- 300m-600m-1.2km-2.4km for children
- 4.9km
- 9.8km
- 7.3km nordic walking
Starting on Hauptplatz, Frohnleiten's colourful main square, participants in the 4.9km race run two laps of an undulating loop course through the town centre and along the river. The 9.8km race is four laps of this course.
The 7.3km nordic walking route runs out and back along the Mur.
