The Casinolauf takes place in the chic resort of Velden am Wörther See which sits at the western end of the Wörthersee in the state of Kärnten (Carinthia) in the southern part of Austria.
Held annually on Austria's national day, the Nationalfeiertag, which is celebrated on 26 October, the event offers a 6.5km run and several shorter races for children.
Starting at the Casino Velden, participants run five laps of a 1.3km-long course through Velden's town centre and along the lakeside promenade.
