2-3 September 2023
This running event is held annually over a weekend in September in the village of Pertisau which sits on the western shore of the Achensee, the largest lake in the state of Tirol (Tyrol) in Austria.
The Kinderlauf and the 10km Fitnesslauf take place on Saturday afternoon.
Starting on Sunday at 10am, the 23.2km Achenseelauf (one lap around the lake) usually attracts a crowd of over 1,000 runners. The route includes 171 metres of ascent.
It is possible to form a team of two to run the race as a relay (14km+9.2km).
The first 14 kilometres are a mainly-flat run on asphalt roads and gravel paths whereas the second part of the course follows a narrow and spectacular hiking trail.
