Held annually in May in Mozart's home town, the city of Salzburg in Austria, the Salzburg Marathon features a truly grand setting and a scenic, AIMS-certified and flat course.

Entrants have the choice between the 10k race, the 21.1k half marathon (one lap), the 42.2k marathon (two laps) and the 42.2k relay for teams of four runners.

The route begins and ends in the historic city centre. On its way through the Old Town, along the Salzach river, through rural areas and woods and around a lovely lake, the route passes a large number of Salzburg's best sights, including the city's most impressive palaces.
