Wien (Vienna, Austria), 15 January - 12 February - 12 March 2017
The VCM Winterlauf-Serie ("Vienna City Marathon Winter Running Series") is held every year on three Sundays between January and March.
It aims at preparing runners for the Vienna City Marathon which will be held on 23 April 2017.
The route is a 7km-long loop through the Prater, Vienna's largest public park. The course is pancake-flat, AIMS-certified and closed to all traffic.
Participants can decide during the race if they want to run one lap (7km), two laps (14km), or three laps and a bit to make it a half marathon (21.1km).
The third event in March also offers the possibility to run four laps (28km).
In 2016, each Winterlauf event had approximately 800 finishers.
