Kolín—Velký Osek—Kolín (Czech Republic), Sunday 30 April 2017
The KVOK (Kolín—Velký Osek—Kolín) half marathon features a flat out-and-back course that begins and ends in Kolín, an old town of about 31,000 people, situated on the River Labe (Elbe) in the Czech Republic, approximately 60km east of Prague.
Starting on Kolín's athletics track, which is a 15-minute walk from the beautiful historic town centre, the route takes the runners along the Labe ...
... and then, mainly on cycleways, ...
... through agricultural areas to the village of Velký Osek. Along the route, you can expect a lot of support by the friendly helpers at the aid stations ...
... and by the many cheerful locals in the villages.
Last year, 151 runners took part in the KVOK half marathon. The fastest finishers were Abdelkabir Saji of Morocco (1:08:36) and Czechia's Jana Teplá (1:34:36).
