The Ostseelauf (‘Baltic Sea Run’) draws approximately 1,500 participants to the beach resort of Timmendorfer Strand, one of Germany's best-known seaside holiday destinations, situated in the Bay of Lübeck on the Baltic Sea coast.
Entrants can choose between the 5k, the 10k or the half marathon. Children run one nautical mile (1,852 metres). The event also offers a 5k for nordic walkers.

... all races are flat, accurately-measured and scenic out-and-back runs along the coastal promenade between the fishing village of Niendorf and the resort of Scharbeutz.
The half marathon is two laps (10km+11.1km). The route is partly paved and partly unpaved.
