Rosenheim (Germany), Sunday 25 September 2016
Held on the streets of Rosenheim, an old city of 60,000 people in Germany's state of Bavaria, the Rosenheimer Citylauf offers a 10k race, a 5k run and kids' races.
The 10k is four laps of a 2.5km-long course. Starting on Max-Josefs-Platz, Rosenheim's cobbled main square in the beautiful Old Town, the route runs through the city centre, through parkland and along the Mangfall river.
The course is mainly flat. Each lap features approximately nine metres of ascent.
Last year, almost 400 runners took part in the event. The 10k race had more than 200 finishers. The winners were Georg Eicher (36 minutes 27 seconds) and Katka vom Dorp (40 minutes 12 seconds). The time limit to complete the course is 80 minutes.
