Halbmarathon München 2016
Munich (Germany), Sunday 1 May 2016
The Halbmarathon München is held in the Olympiapark which was built for the Olympic Games 1972 in the northern part of Munich.
Entrants can choose between the 5km fun run (one lap), the 10km race (two laps), or the half marathon (four laps followed by a 1.1km loop).
The route passes many sports facilities, including the Olympic Stadium (pictured above), as well as the former Olympic Village (pictured below).
The course is undulating (20m of ascent per lap), traffic-free, and entirely on asphalt.
In 2015, the half marathon had more than 850 finishers. Almost 400 did the 10k. Just 57 took part in the 5k fun run.
