Dresden (Germany), Sunday 12 June 2016
This popular Stadtlauf offers a 5k, a 10k and a half marathon through Dresden, a city of more than half a million people in eastern Germany.
Last year, the three races combined had more than 2,500 finishers.
Starting and finishing on Altmarkt, the route runs through Dresden's historic centre and along both banks of the River Elbe, passing many magnificent buildings en route.
Participants in the half marathon run two laps of the 10km course. The second lap includes an out-and-back section along the Elbe to make it 21.1km.
Instead of a bib, all participants get a technical T-shirt which they must wear during the race.
