The Łódź Maraton takes runners on a tour of Łódź, Poland's third-largest city with a population of more than 700,000 people—and a fascinating place to visit for its immense industrial heritage and its vibrant cultural scene.

The event begins with the children's races on Saturday, followed by the 10k race and the marathon on Sunday morning. The 10k is also open to wheelchair racers.

Both races feature accurately-measured, certified, and traffic-free routes that end inside the Atlas Arena, a modern 10,400-seat multi-purpose hall.

The time limit to finish the marathon is six hours.

Approximately 5,000 runners took part in the event last year.
