Düsseldorf (Germany), Sunday 6 September 2015
The Kö-Lauf is held on one of Europe's most fashionable boulevards, the Königsallee in the city of Düsseldorf in Germany.
The 1km-long "Kö", which has a canal in the middle, is home to many luxury shops, banks and five-star hotels.
The event features flat and fast road races for all ages and abilities:
- children's races
- 1.1km fun run for runners with special needs ('Partnerlauf')
- 4km
- 10km
- 3x1.1km and 5x2.2km relay races
Last year, more than 1000 runners took part in the 10k race. The fastest finishers were Patrick Stitzinger (30min 11sec) and Samira Schnüriger (38min 40sec).
The 10k consists of five laps. In order to avoid overcrowding on the course, the field will be split in three groups, starting at 1.20pm, 2.20pm, and 3.25pm.
