The Półmaraton Piła is one of Poland's most prestigious road running races.

Almost 2500 runners finished the half marathon last year, led home by Joshua Maingi Munywoki of Kenya (1:03:05) and Olga Ochal of Poland (1:14:18).

Starting and finishing in the town centre, the route consists of three different laps, approximately 3km, 5km, and 13km long. The course is gently undulating.

Piła is a largely modern town of about 75,000 people in north-western Poland. There may not be many sights of historic interest in Piła but it's a very pleasant and welcoming town with lots of green spaces and parks, and many forests, lakes and rivers nearby.
