Schleusingen (Germany), Sunday 4 May 2014
The Slusialauf offers a number of very hilly multi-terrain races through the wooded foothills of the Thuringian Forest mountain range in Central Germany.
Entrants can choose between the half marathon, the 14.1km race for runners and nordic walkers, or the 5.5km run.
All routes begin and end on the sports pitch of Schleusingen, a picturesque little town with an impressive castle and many beautiful half-timbered buildings.
Despite less than favourable weather conditions, almost 200 runners and nordic walkers took part in last year's Slusialauf.
