‘Summer Night Run Munich’ 2014
München (Germany), Friday 25 July 2014
The Sommernachtslauf München takes place in the Olympiapark which was created for the Olympic Games 1972 in Munich.
Around 1400 runners took part in the event last year.
Starting at 7.30pm on a Friday night in high summer, participants run either one lap (6km) or two laps (10km) of an undulating course that begins and ends on the warm-up athletics track behind the Olympic Stadium.
Competitors can still decide during the race which distance they want to run.
The course offers fine views of the Olympiasee (pictured) and of the many sports venues in the park.
