11th ‘Wine Road Run’ 2013
Pfaffstätten - Mödling (Austria), Sunday 1 September 2013
The Weinstrassenlauf is a very scenic 10k point-to-point road running race through a wine-producing region near Austria's capital Vienna.
The course is pretty challenging as the difference between the lowest and the highest point on the course is approximately 100 metres.
Participants run from the village of Pfaffstätten, situated about 25 kilometres south of Vienna's city centre, towards Vienna to the finish line in the town of Mödling.
Around 250 runners took part in last year's Weinstrassenlauf. The fastest finishers were Stefan Lakinger (34:55) and Sylvia Gehnböck (42:36).
